Last weekend, I visited Roppongi to take pictures of illumination.

Keyakizaka-dori is very famous for lighting spot.

I felt Christmas is coming!

Last Thursday,I found an airship near my office.

It flew slowly and looked really happy in the clear blue sky.

I was in luck!

I like fruits so much and there are many fruits in a supermarket in this season.

We often feel change of seosons through the nature.

I found a colorful tree near my house and felt the change.

The color was so beautiful and amazing!!

Autumn has come.
So I changed a hanging scroll,"Tenugui",to feel and enjoy season.
There are so many pictures and patterns in "Tenugui" and I enjoy choosing them for every season!

how to tie??

Today I learned a traditional way of tying for a box.

It was a little difficult but really rational.

The knot is flat and comes untied.

I'm always impressed  with the knowledge of traditional Japaneses people!!

She is only 1 year old and can kneel on her knees!!

In a Japanese-style room covered with Tatami,kneeling on my one's knees is the basic way of sitting for Japanese.

Recently, the number of houses with Japanese-style room is decreasing...  
 

collaboration

A year ago,I visited a temple,"Enkakuji", in Kamakura.
An art project was held at the temple and there were many glasses with water.
The view was so beautiful,fantastic,like a heaven.

How do you feel about these flowers?

They are dying and most of people will replace them.
In the traditional Japanese culture,we enjoy the blossom buds,the blooming flowers,the wilting flowers,also the dying flowers.
We love nature itself.

No, here is a pasture in Chiba,called "Mother Bokujyo".
It is a huge place and there were many animals(sheep,pigs,ducks,horses...)
I'll go on a picnic next time!

I went to "Enoshima" in Kamakura with my photography friends.

This area is famous for a surfing spot and today was good weather for surfing!

I love the sea so much !! and never get tired of seeing it.

October has come, and the weather has become cooler.

The wind bring me the orange osmanthus.

Today I went to a park near my house and  relaxed without thinking of business.

Today is harvest moon day in Japan.

The harvest moon is one of the most beautiful of the year with its perfectly round shape.

It is said rabbits are lived in moon,so shops are filled with various kinds of rabbit-goods at this time.

wearing Kimono

I wore a Kimono for my friend's wedding party.

This yellow Kimono is my grandmother's cloth.

It means that this cloth was made 80 years ago!!

I was so happy to wear it!

Go,Go, Tigers!!

We took in a baseball game after work.

Most of the people from Kansai region are fan of Hanshin Tigers,based in Osaka.

Of course we are fan of them!!

We wish Teigers to become champion this year.

what are they looking for??

In a tea ceremony,guests can see tea ceremony tools after procedure for making tea.

A host always chooses tools with theme(ex:"waiting for Autumn") and answers questions about them.

Guests look forward to having this time.

I had a vegetarian meal in a temple.

It was light taste and most of food were made from "Tofu" or vegetable.

I liked it so much!!

I went a temple in Kanagawa this weekend.
The temple was so big and there were many monks.
Two monks passed by me and I took a photo secretly!

seasonally sweets

These are sweets  for the tea ceremony.

I bought them in Kyoto last week.

Every summer,we have a festival called "Gozan no Okuribi" and the sweets are designed to look like this festival.

This is my first time taking maternity photos. 

The mother and child were very close and this shot was so heartwarming.

I wish her a safe delivery and a happy and healthy baby!

Here is Lake Biwa in Shiga prefecture.
There was a big sky,a big lake and I felt so refreshed.
I love this place!

HOTTEST!!

What an extremely hot day!!
The temperature rose to 37 degree Celsius in Tokyo....
But it was perfect weather to dry the laundry!

I came back to Kyoto, my hometown, and I found many mother's Kimono.

These are so beautiful and colorful,but unfortunatelly, she hasn't worn those for 30 years.

I picked up several Kimono and am going to use those for my tea lessons!

My mother visited "Katsura Imperial Villa" near my house.
This garden is under the Imperial Household Agency's control and only foreigners and Japanese chosen by lottery can visit there.
So she was so lucky!
I hope to visit this place someday!

a welcome rain!

It rained for the first time this summer during the day.
It has become cool!
I can't wait to get away from the summer heat.

I had a tea lesson today.

I wore a Japanese summer kimono ("Yukata").

It looks cool but actually I was so hot... 

It is important in a tea ceremony to make feel cool around me.

"The Borrowers"

I went to see the movie,"Karigurashi no Aliettie", with my friend.

This film is produced by Studio Ghibli.

It was a heartwarming and pictures were so beautiful!!

I read that the story is based on an American novel "The Borrowers".

Today was busy day.
I had three appointments with clients.
During this hot season, I always have Japanese paper fans.
These are essential items for me!

It was really hot and humid today.

I found a setting for a festival near my office.

I'm excited to see these paper lanterns at this time of the year!

beat the summer heat

Today I ate grilled eels after work.

The Soy sauce smell increased my appetite!

Eel is nourishing food in Japan.

We eat Eel to beat the summer heat!

Today,I had a Japanese tea ceremony class.
I've taken this class once a week for 4 months.

I felt summer from tea bowl(Crab picture,bright blue) and flowers(morning glory)!

My teacher always set these seasonal tools.

I look forward to every lesson! 

visiting "Kanazawa"

I visited "Kanazawa" last weekend for the first time.

It was clear and calm day.

Kanazawa is similar in tone to Kyoto.
